Do Kansans Have Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, Keep Kansas Strong - Charlotte O'Hara for Governor

Do Kansans Have Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness?

By: Charlotte O’Hara

Here we are, Election Day!!!!  I filed in February of 2025 and began traveling around Kansas simply visiting with folks to understand what their concerns were and are. Immediately it became clear the top issues are: abortion, God’s gift of Life being torn from mothers’ wombs; property taxes taking our homes while our legislature abolishes property taxes for billionaires and our schools indoctrinating, not educating our children because of the federalization of education.

I have traveled 48,000 miles crisscrossing our beautiful state, lots of windshield time wondering how in the world did Kansas come to this place of crisis being the high tax point on the prairie and the abortion capital in the heartland of America while 70% of our 4th graders are not proficient in reading and math.

The answer is that nobody (including our priests and pastors) has the courage to actually name the source of our failures:

  1. Property taxes: Number one, stop putting holes in the boat and repeal ALL tax incentives. Number two, abolish property taxes and go to a use tax.  If our Senate President, Ty Masterson, can abolish property taxes for the Chiefs, then we should abolish property taxes for you.

  2. The culture of death: We lost 19,811 babies in 2024 according to KDHE statistics. Why? Because we have allowed our State Supreme Court to be taken over by activist judges funded by the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Act Blue and other George Soros non-profits. The YES vote is in deep, deep trouble because of the seemingly endless dollars rolling into Kansas. Meanwhile, we have a new Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas, Archbishop McKnight, helping the no vote by saying that the ballot question is not for the Church to take a stand on and that no Catholic should be told to vote YES. Treacherous evil which will severely hurt the chances of the amendment passing.

  3. Our schools: Taking federal money means that Washington D.C. sets the mandates. Our local community school districts should be developing curriculum which meets the needs of THEIR CHILDREN. We must use community standards to throw out the pornographic books in our school libraries such as “Gender Queer”, close the State Department of Education which spends $300 million annually on paper shufflers and stop taking federal education funds.

My great-grandfather O’Hara came to Linn County in 1869, I was raised on our farm about 12 miles S.E. of where he and my great-grandmother settled. I am a Kansan through and through. I am willing to take the big boys on from past and present governors to our current senate president to billionaires to our Archbishop when they cross the line of our Kansas Values of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I would be honored to earn your vote TODAY for Governor of Kansas.

God Bless,
