In the face of cruel indifference, We the People demand the Republicans, after decades of being in the majority, reduce crushing property taxes! We the People can now shelter only in the Word of God, Isaiah 40:31: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. My friends, the task that lies before us: find our strength in the face of cruel indifference by those we elect. Promises of tax relief from faux “conservative” Republicans, the promise of even higher taxes from Democrats, every year scatter in the wind as chaff from wheat. Neither party can hear our cries! Instead, both give us high taxes with schools crumbling under an avalanche of failure, cheating our children and roads pitted with pot holes. What has happened? Cowardice, pure and simple, cowardice. Local elected officials (in JoCo mostly Democrat) pointing the finger of blame at the state and state elected officials (super majority Republicans) pointing the finger of blame at the locals. So, find your strength, “mount up with wings as eagles” to find your resolve to attend city council meetings, demand they stop handing out tax incentives (corporate welfare) like candy while taxing us out of our homes. Attend school board meetings lifting your voice demanding they focus on your children and grandchildren’s basic core education instead of buying filth such as Gender Queer to pollute their minds. Attend county commission meetings and in JoCo demand they stop sending MILLIONS of $$$$ to K.C., Mo for the World Cup, stop spending money on DEI initiatives and focus on efficiencies to LOWER our taxes!!!!! Consider running for city council, school board or the community college board. And MOST IMPORTANTLY VOTE!!! Turn out in local off year elections is abysmal, at best in the low 20% range. Republicans do not vote in local elections!!!!! You have to research to find who is Republican (nonpartisan elections do not have party affiliation on ballot) and VOTE in the upcoming 2025 August primary and November general election. AND after the election, hold your elected officials’ feet to the fire. Each of us must put our shoulder to the wheel and look to God for our strength. He is THE answer. |
