The Tale of the two Pinocchios: Senator Cindy Holscher and Candidate Philip Sarnecki

By: Charlotte O’Hara

Good morning!! What a crazy busy day I had last Wednesday, July 8th, but OH SO GOOD!! I had an interview at Tallgrass and I was told that I have a fan club there, which I so appreciate. Then on to KCTV5 for another interview which is available on their website – https://www.kctv5.com – and finally the gubernatorial forum in Ottawa, sponsored by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.

The BIG news at the Ottawa Chamber forum were the no shows: Ty Masterson, Philip Sarnecki and Vicki Schmidt. However, Philip did have paid staff in Ottawa. He has as many campaign staff members as a hound dog has fleas in July!! To me this indicates he would have a very bloated and expensive (our tax dollars) administrative staff in Topeka.

AND Philip is a chronic no show.  Let’s see, last Saturday, July 11th, he was MIA at the Wichita, Hutchison and Wyandotte County Republican events. And previous events: No-show in Garden City, Junction City, Emporia, Burlington, Winfield and Salina. His attendance at campaign events is as bad as his election voting history, which is under 50%.  Yep, only 41.6% since he moved to Kansas in 2008. He voted only 15 times compared to my perfect record of voting in 36 local, state and federal elections and we live in the same city and school district. Sarnecki couldn’t even find the time to vote for Value Them Both in August of 2022.  He has shown little if any interest in the people of Kansas until he runs for GOVERNOR.  WOW!!!

The other big news last Wednesday at the Ottawa debate: Democrat Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ethan Corsen slammed Senator Cindy Holscher (another D running for governor) for lying (his words, not mine) about her voting record on the Chiefs and data centers tax giveaways. Sitting next to her on stage and hearing her sound as conservative as me was one surreal experience, almost as bad as hearing Philip Sarnecki’s rhetoric of anti-Chiefs and anti-data center tax giveaways while name dropping Clark Hunt and taking money from developers who own solar farms which have long term contracts with DATA CENTERS!!! The moral of the story, don’t believe what you hear – RESEARCH!!!

Last Thursday I traveled to Pittsburg to be interviewed at KOAM-TV, Fox 14 and that evening, I was in Topeka for the final Republican Gubernatorial debate/forum which is available on https://www.wibw.com/2026/07/10/watch-kansas-gop-gubernatorial-debate/

Saturday, I ended my week attending the Sedgwick County Republican Women’s forum, then on to Hutchinson for the Reno County Republican meet and greet and finally Wyandotte County’s Candidate meet and greet at Frontier Justice. AND again, Philip was a NO-SHOW at all of the events.

So back to you, I so appreciate the level of support that I am finding at all of my campaign stops. Thank you all of for your prayers, putting signs in your yards and sending contributions to my campaign. I could not do this without you.

And yes, I am driving the wheels off my car. Saturday I didn’t even look to see how many miles I drove.

God Bless,
